Panhellenic Formal Recruitment at Penn takes place during the first week of the spring semester. Formal recruitment for freshmen women is deferred until January because the Panhellenic Community believes that it is important to allow new students a chance to experience the academic and social opportunities at Penn at the beginning of the first year.

Formal recruitment for the year will take place in January 2008. Each round of formal recruitment is designed to allow potential members to meet sisters and interact with them in different ways, beginning with Open House rounds and continuing through the week with invitational parties based on a mutual selection process. Formal recruitment is a great way to learn a lot about Greek life, meet new people, and discover which chapter suits you best. Check back for more information as the time approaches.

In addition to formal recruitment, several chapters also host informal recruitment in the fall or late spring for upperclassmen or transfers who are interested in finding out what sorority life at Penn has to offer. We encourage all Penn women to think about going Greek.

If you have any questions about Phi Sigma Sigma or recruitment, please contact our Membership Recruitment Chair, Joanna Perez. More information about formal recruitment, including specific round instructions and registration information, visit the Panhellenic Council website.
